Sadly our small congregation which
was formed in 1926 is currently experiencing
significant financial strains. The current
economic situation has affected many of our members
resulting in a reduction of tithes and offerings.
Although our congregation has a fairly small annual
budget, we continue to struggle in meeting our
financial obligations. We have had to cut
hours for the staff in order to trim our budget.
We graciously thank our maintenance and nursery
workers who were compensated in the past who now
refuse to accept payment for their time and efforts.
We continue to pray for our members and our small
congregation and ask for the prayers of those in our
community. If our financial situation does not
turn around soon, we may be facing the decision of
closing our doors. We have often served
as a place where members of our community could turn
in times of need, a place of fellowship and
gathering; however, most important of all, a place
were all were welcomed to share the word of God and
the Gospel of our Risen Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. We have been unable to sustain our
sanctuary through the offerings of our members, and
now humbly pray for the generosity and kindness of
those who do not yet know us, so that we may
continue to carry out God's mission in our
community. If you are able and willing to
donate to our church and help us continue God's
mission, we would greatly appreciate your kindness
and sacrifice. At the bottom of our website
menu to the left of this page is a donation button.
Donations are received through PayPal and are
secure. Thank-you for your thoughts and
prayers, and if you are ever in the area, please
stop by and share God's word with us.
May God's grace and love be with you
all.

President
Q: How can I fulfill my
commitment to God and my church when I miss service?
A: If you would like to fulfill
your commitment automatically, you can fill our the
attached
"Simply Giving" form. This form can be
submitted to have your commitment automatically sent
from your financial institution with several
options. Should your situation change once the
form is submitted, changes can be made quickly.
Shopping with Scrip.
Shopping with scrip is a program
where you can order gift cards at face value, and
select merchants in turn make a contribution to the
church. Some merchants offer up to a 12%
donation. There is not cost to you! For
example, the average family spends about $300 per
month on groceries. Safeway offers a 4%
donation. If we can get just 50 families from
Emanuel to participate, Safeway donates 4% of that (approx. $600)
back to Emanuel. With no added cost to Emanuel
members, and just doing your monthly grocery
shopping, we earn enough to pay our monthly energy
costs.
How can I sign up? Print and
complete the attached
Scrips Order
Form and see Conley Booth.
Some gift cards are re-loadable by
the member on-line which will save shipping costs.
The attached
Scrips Gift Card Reload Information will tell
you how.
In addition, Conley is working out
getting Emanuel registered with Safeway so that each
time we use our Safeway Club Card, Emanuel receives
a small percentage.
