Emanuel is currently enrolled in two separate fund raising programs through eScrips.com and Great Lakes Scrip Center.  The premise is to purchase gift cards through Emanuel's program from the Great Lakes Scrip Center for stores that many of us shop at regularly.  You pay face value (i.e. a $100 Safeway gift card costs you $100), and the program returns a percentage back to Emanuel.  Each merchant returns a varying amounts.  Safeway returns 4%, or $4.00 for every gift card you purchase.  By registering your store rewards and regular credit and debit cards (i.e. Safeway, Visa & MasterCard), merchants return a percentage of your purchase to Emanuel.  The great thing is that these programs do not incur any additional cost to you.  Combine both of these programs by purchasing Safeway gift cards to pay for your regular grocery purchases, and use your Safeway rewards card a the time of check out for additional returns to Emanuel.

     We have tried these programs in the past with very little participation.  Emanuel is currently experiencing financial challenges and this program may be ease this burden.  With increased participation, we could see returns up to and surpassing our monthly utility costs.
